As people age, they usually become more aware of the possible diseases that they may encounter. And one big problem that older adults face is heart disease.

Heart disease is a cardiovascular disease and is known to be the primary cause of deaths in the US. Many improvements have been made to detect and treat heart disease at an early age, preventive measures are also undertaken, but it is still considered as a dreadful disease by most people.

If you don’t want to get a heart disease, there are preventive measures you can do:

• check your blood pressure regularly
• don’t smoke
• check cholesterol levels
• get a test on diabetes
• and don’t drink too much alcohol.
